Opening of 「SEOUL IMPACT CORE」 startup support facility
- A new vision for supporting innovative startups and solving urban problems
University of Seoul(UOS) Campus Town Business Group opened its core startup support facility, 「SEOUL IMPACT CORE」 on June 10th. This symbolizes UOS’s new challenge to solve Seoul’s urban problems and support startups based on artificial intelligence (AI) and big data.
At the opening ceremony on this day, UOS President Yong-geol Won, Dongdaemun-gu Deputy Mayor In-geun Lee, and Dongdaemun-gu Assemblyman Gyeong-tae Jang shared their expectations and visions in their congratulatory speeches. In particular, President Yong-geol Won said, “The opening of SEOUL IMPACT CORE is an important moment for our university to open a new era of innovative startup support,” and “UOS will become a strategic partner for on-campus industry-academic cooperation and local youth for creative and challenging entrepreneurs.”
SEOUL IMPACT CORE, located on the 4th floor of the 2nd Engineering Building of UOS, is a space for entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and technologies in various cutting-edge fields such as cities, big data, artificial intelligence, and bio. It is expected to contribute to creating a startup ecosystem where creative and challenging ideas can be realized and new businesses can be born.
UOS announced that it plans to continue to grow together with entrepreneurs through continued interest and support and to establish itself as a symbol of innovation and challenge.
